A heart that burns…
What causes your heart to burn? Or what causes your heart to come alive inside?
I know that the only true thing that will cause my heart to be alive on the inside is the love and knowledge of God. What has been on my heart is, desire to study out how to live holy and righteous. Not in a religious way but in a true way as Jesus describes in the bible. Taking scripture literal and not as a metaphor. Living out the Sermon on the Mount at the heart level and truly rising up against the sin in my heart and taking a stance of contention. That is what is buring on my heart this very moment. I want to set my eyes on the things that please God’s heart not just talking about walking in righteousness but actually doing it. My heart is truly at a place of great depravity because I have nothing in myself that can do this. however I do have the gift of God in me that awakens desire within my heart to say yes to this journey. Thank you Jesus for granting me with hunger for more of You!

It’s so true, that to live righteous for God it’s the same plain principles we know from the Bible. There’s no secret. It’s Sermon on the Mount.
Problem is that once we start doing it it’s a lot harder than we though.

That was very good. I very much think purity goes along with the lines of righteous living you discussed. And striving to live the sermon on the mount is definitely something we need to abide by. My heart burns with the consistant goal of being pure.
